Rośliny, które pomogą wzmocnić odporność

Today we’re highlighting a few more plants that have a positive impact on our health and are worth incorporating into your daily diet or using for colds, various infections, runny noses, sore throats, or a general decline in immunity.

Aloe

Antioxidants are compounds that help eliminate excess free radicals from the body, which can cause cancer, atherosclerosis, and accelerate the aging process. The antioxidants found in aloe vera belong to the polyphenol group, which, in combination with several other components of this plant, can inhibit the growth of bacteria harmful to humans that cause infections.

Nettle

The essential oils found in the leaves and stems of stinging nettle have detoxifying properties that help cleanse the body of toxins. Additionally, stinging nettle acts as a diuretic and stimulates the lymphatic system—allowing toxins to be eliminated from the body even more quickly. But that’s not all ? The plant is rich in vitamin C and iron, which allows it to stimulate red blood cell production. This helps accelerate wound healing, oxygenate the body, and boost energy levels, which is why it is recommended for fatigue and anemia.

Calendula officinalis

Calendula has valuable anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Calendula flower oil accelerates the healing process of wounds, cuts, bruises, and insect bites. The extract from the plant’s leaves and stems is rich in many health-promoting compounds, such as glycosides, saponins, and other anti-inflammatory compounds. Calendula tea helps soothe coughs, improve digestion, and alleviate inflammation.

Cilantro

Cilantro is a rich source of antioxidants. Consuming plants such as cilantro may also reduce the risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Cilantro leaf oil has antifungal properties. Additionally, cilantro has a positive effect on skin and hair health and energy levels.

Oregano

Oregano oil has strong antibacterial properties, particularly effective against staphylococcus, salmonella, and E. coli. Additionally, it stimulates the immune system—it acts as a diaphoretic and supports the body’s fight against infections.

Rosemary

Rosemary is primarily known for its memory-enhancing properties. It also has antiviral, antibacterial, and analgesic effects. It is used for colds and the flu: it helps reduce fever and strengthen the body’s resistance to respiratory infections.

Bay leaf

Bay leaf is considered an excellent diaphoretic. In the past, it was often used as a pain reliever and a remedy for bronchitis, colds, and the flu.
